Strengthens the ankles and legs
Strengthens the shoulder muscles, quadriceps and hip flexors
Improves balance and posture
- Standing in Mountain pose, inhale and reach your arms out in front, parallel to the ground with palms facing eachother
- Raise one knee until your thigh is parallel to the ground.
- Your leg should make a ninety degree angle
- Relax your shoulders and focus on maintaining balance.
- Keep back straight
Beginners: Perform the post near a wall.
Advanced: Practice on an unstable surface or raise up on to the top of tip of the toes on the supporting leg.
